![]() ![]() ML119 stayed in Israel for 5 years until it was moved on once more. The Czech’s then sold the aircraft in 1948 this time to the Israeli’s (for $23,000). At the end of the war ML119 wAS sold to Czechoslovakia to form a part of their new Air Force. It’s itinerant life contined with moves to bases such as Manston, Coltishall and Ludham where it’s prime duty was bomber support. After Ayr the Squadron re-located to the South West of the UK for a short period before again moving, this time to Detling to help defend the South East against V1 Doodlebugs. In April 1944 it started service with No.1 Squadron at Ayr where it became the personal mount of the Squadron C.O. ML119 (G-SDNI) was built at Castle Bromwich and delivered to No9 MU at RAF Cosford on the 24th March 1944. ![]()
